Hi everyone,
I wanted to share some exciting news with you all—Palate Pro has officially moved into its very first commercial premises! 🎉 (Suite 1, 8 Slade Street, Goonellabah).
Over the past year, Palate Pro has grown far more quickly than I ever anticipated, and what started as a small operation run from home has gradually taken over more and more of the house. While I’m incredibly grateful for that growth, it has definitely reached the point where the business needed its own dedicated space.
For me personally, this means I finally get some floor space back at home (which I’m sure my family will appreciate just as much as I do!), and it gives me a much more practical environment to organise equipment, prepare trials, and receive deliveries from pet food manufacturers.
The new premises also opens up some exciting opportunities for the future. One of the biggest advantages is that I now have room for multiple chest fridge/freezers, which means we’ll be able to conduct chilled and frozen pet food trials—something I’ve been looking forward to offering for quite some time. This will allow Palate Pro to work with an even broader range of pet food manufacturers and bring more interesting trial opportunities to our panel members.
Another benefit is that the premises will become a collection point for trial packs. I’ll let everyone know once collection times have been established, but having a pickup location without space limitations should open up some opportunities.
And finally… many of you already know that manufacturers often provide more food than is required for our trials. As a result, I accumulate a LOT of spare pet food! I regularly donate to shelters, but I have enough to also share with our wonderful panel members and their pets.
Once everything is organised, anyone visiting the premises to collect trial packs will also be welcome to have a look through the available surplus food and take some home while stocks last.
I’d just like to finish by saying thank you to everyone who has joined the Palate Pro panel, completed trials, provided thoughtful feedback, and supported this little business over the past year. Your participation is the reason Palate Pro has reached the point where having its own commercial premises has become possible.
I’m really excited about what this next chapter will bring, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.
